Martin Yan Recipe
It's hard to beat beets. They are healthy for the body, and some studies suggest beet root juice helps increase blood flow to the brain, which may also be beneficial to brain health.
Prep/Cook Time: 25 Minutes
Ingredients
- 1 beet root, peeled and cut into chunks
- 3 ribs celery, cut into chunks
- 1 medium carrot, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1 cup strawberries, hulled and cut in half
- ½ bunch parsley, tough stems discarded, roughly chopped
- ½ cup mint leaves
- 4 Roma tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tablespoon flax seeds
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Directions
- Place ingredients in a juicer, a few pieces at a time. Juice and enjoy!
