Quick Win

Green tea can help promote healthy brain aging and reduce memory problems.

Try This Today

  • Switch your regular coffee or tea for a serving of green tea two or three times per week.
  • Experiment with different tastes: Try a flavored green tea, add fresh fruit or natural sweeteners, or blend with a drink you love.

Why

Whether you take your tea with milk or lemon, sweetened or plain, there’s one way you should consider taking your tea: GREEN. Green tea has potential health benefits. For instance, consuming a lot of tea, especially green tea, was significantly associated with a lower prevalence of cognitive impairment in a study of more than 3,800 people over 40, reported in 2020 in BMC Geriatrics. A 2021 review in Molecules describes the mechanisms by which green tea may suppress brain aging and reduce the risk of dementia.
