This simple, flexible roadmap describes the paths you can take to explore this AARP program and learn about brain health

Thanks for registering for Staying Sharp! We’re excited to help you build healthy habits based on the six pillars of brain health. You don’t have to do things in any particular order, so you can let your interests guide you. That said, we recommend that you start with the Cognitive Assessment, to understand how your brain is performing today. Or, simply choose your own starting point.

...take a challenge

Jump into one of our 16 guided, interactive challenges to learn more about brain health — and put what you discover into action. Each challenge explores a different topic, from memory and focus to resilience to managing emotions and exercise. You can do these guided learning activities at your own pace, pausing when you need to and resuming when you’re ready. As the name suggests, Brain Health 101 with Dr. Sanjay Gupta, is a great place to start. Other popular challenges include Weight Loss After 50Make Sleep Your Superpower and Digital Declutter.

...test my thinking skills

Start with insight. The Cognitive Assessment offers a series of interactive, science-based tests that measure memory, attention, and processing speed, as well as your personal habits around the six pillars of brain health. The tests are designed to be done all at once without pausing, so plan for about 20 to 40 minutes of uninterrupted time. Bonus: You can earn up to 1,500 AARP Rewards points for finishing!
