Three Ways to Start Moving

  1. Try starting with a childhood physical activity you enjoyed. Bicycling? Swimming? Dancing around the kitchen to your favorite tunes?
  2. Allow yourself to start small. Begin with a five-minute walk, ride or dance session every day, and add on the next week.
  3. Increase the non-exercise physical activity you already do. Pace while talking on the phone; park on the far side of the parking lot; skip drive-through windows.
